Dawnwalker PC Hotfixes 1.0.2 and 1.0.3
Hotfix 1.0.2 addressed three quest situations and controller input on PC. Hotfix 1.0.3 followed with DualSense support for the Steam PC version. This archive separates those changes from the issues still under investigation at the time.
Original announcement:
Which early PC update changed what?
The dates below use the original announcement timestamps in UTC. Each entry describes the changes announced for that PC version at the time.
| Hotfix | PC announcement (UTC) | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0.2 | September 3, 2026 | Farkas dialogue, Lunka’s tutorial route, holy-sword crafting and controller input. |
| 1.0.3 | September 4, 2026 | DualSense support for the Steam PC version. |

Hotfix 1.0.2: dialogue, the tutorial and holy-sword crafting
Match the situation to the announced correction, then use the corresponding guide for the normal route or requirements. The announcement names the affected behaviour without saying that every quest condition was removed.
| Situation | Announced correction | Continue the normal route |
|---|---|---|
| Farkas | Coen can talk to him after killing the NPCs around him. | Farkas and the Lunar Game |
| Lunka in the tutorial | Lunka no longer becomes lost while leading Coen. | Follow the prologue route |
| Uriashi blacksmith | A crafting issue involving a holy sword was corrected. | Bring the blade and shards to Nareh |
Check your St. Mihai sword stageController input in 1.0.2 and DualSense support in 1.0.3
The 1.0.2 gameplay note addresses controller dead zones and input problems while sprinting on PC. It concerns how movement input is handled.
The 1.0.3 change list adds DualSense support for the Steam PC version. It does not describe button-remapping options.
Controller input, controller support and controller-related frame-rate drops are separate problems. The later 1.0.4 notes discuss frame-rate drops with outdated GameInput software; that is a different symptom from the sprint-input change here.
What was still under investigation after 1.0.2?
The 1.0.2 announcement listed the following issues separately from its fixes, together with the advice offered during launch week.
| Issue listed at the time | What the original note said |
|---|---|
| Stuttering in Windowed or Borderless mode | Try Full Screen as a workaround. The note did not say that the underlying issue was fixed. |
| Crashes while compiling shaders | Check the relevant hardware and firmware guidance. The linked guidance concerned processor instability; this was separate from an announced game fix. |
| Missing PS5-controller button-mapping option | Listed as an open issue in 1.0.2. The next note announced DualSense support without enumerating remapping controls. |
Choose the later coverage for your installed version
For shader-compilation stutter, continue to the 1.0.5 coverage, which describes an improvement that may help some players. For saving, controller frame-rate drops and later quest corrections, use the 1.0.4 section of the same archive.
Update 1.1 has its own changes to skills, respecs, difficulty, trading and quests. If a quest remains blocked on your installed version, compare its current journal stage and normal prerequisites with the walkthrough. A familiar symptom alone does not show that it is the same launch-week bug.
