THE FIELD GUIDE
Dawnwalker PC System Requirements
Both listed PC tiers require 16 GB RAM, 60 GB of free SSD space, 64-bit Windows 10 and DirectX 12. Compare your CPU, graphics card and VRAM with the two tiers below.
Minimum and recommended specifications
These are the PC specifications in the current game listing, checked on October 15, 2026. Match the exact model and the amount of dedicated graphics memory, rather than relying only on the age of the computer or the graphics-card family name.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10, 64-bit | Windows 10, 64-bit |
| Processor | Core i5-11400F / Ryzen 7 2700X | Core i7-11700K / Ryzen 7 5700X |
| Graphics card | GeForce GTX 1060 / Radeon RX 580 | GeForce RTX 4060 / Radeon RX 7600 XT / Arc B580 |
| Dedicated graphics memory | 6 GB VRAM | 8 GB VRAM |
| System memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics API | DirectX 12 | DirectX 12 |
| Storage | 60 GB available; SSD required | 60 GB available; SSD required |

The list does not promise a particular frame rate
The published minimum and recommended tiers do not state a target resolution, frame rate, graphics preset or upscaling mode. They should not be translated into a guaranteed 1080p, 1440p or 60 FPS result.
A laptop graphics card with a similar name is not automatically equivalent to the listed desktop model. Power limits, cooling and the rest of the system affect performance. For an unlisted configuration, look for a benchmark of that exact setup and the settings you intend to use.
VRAM and system RAM are separate requirements. A machine with 16 GB of system memory still needs the listed dedicated graphics memory; adding those two capacities together does not satisfy the table.
Check the drive and available space
The listing requires an SSD in both tiers, with 60 GB available. Check free space on the drive where you will install the game, rather than the combined capacity of all drives in the computer.
The published available-space requirement is 60 GB. Update downloads and temporary installation files may need additional working space, so keep some extra space available. The listing does not give a separate patch-space figure.
Compare your computer before installing
Check each component separately. Being above one recommended value does not compensate for a missing requirement elsewhere.
- Open your system information and note the processor model, installed RAM and 64-bit operating system.
- Check the graphics adapter’s exact model and dedicated VRAM. Distinguish dedicated memory from shared system memory.
- Confirm that the intended installation drive is an SSD and has at least the listed free space.
- Compare those details with both columns. If a part is not listed, use comparable hardware evidence rather than guessing from the model number alone.
If the game runs but stutters
Hardware requirements and software fixes answer different questions. PC Hotfix 1.0.5, announced on September 10, improved the shader compilation pipeline and may resolve stuttering for some users. It is not a claim that every source of stutter has been removed.
Hotfix 1.0.4 also addressed frame-rate drops when connecting controllers with outdated GameInput software, along with stability, saving and quest blockers. Read the patch summary to match your symptom with a documented change.
Make sure the game update has completed, then retest the same location and settings so you can compare like with like. Keep performance troubleshooting separate from the question of whether the computer meets the published baseline.
Once the hardware check is complete
Compare the editions for the game and digital extras, then use the systems overview to understand time, shrines and the two forms before starting a route.
