Dawnwalker Leveling and XP

Character level caps at 50. Reaching it from level 1 takes 76,440 XP across the level-up requirements and awards 59 skill points from those level-ups. Compare your next levels below; quest rewards and Corruption use separate progression.

XP and points are the cost and reward of reaching that one level. Level 1 is the starting row.

How much XP and how many skill points does a level give?

The XP requirement rises by 40 for each successive target level. Level 2 needs 600 XP, level 3 needs 640, and level 50 needs 2,520. Each number is the cost of that single increase, not the accumulated XP needed from level 1.

Level-ups normally award one skill point. Reaching a multiple of five awards two instead. Across levels 2–50, that produces 59 points; it does not count separate quest or other point rewards.

For a target level from 2 to 50, the single-level requirement is 600 + 40 × (target level − 2). The calculator adds the requirements between the two selected levels, then subtracts XP you have already earned when you supply it.

A level 20 to 30 example

The ten increases from level 20 to level 30 require 15,400 XP and award 12 skill points. If the level-20 XP bar already holds 400 XP, the remaining requirement is 15,000.

Use the number inside the current XP bar for this subtraction. A lifetime XP total, an ability cost or Corruption progress is a different value. When you change the starting level in the calculator, its optional XP input clears so that progress from another level is not carried over.

Worked example: level 20, with 400 XP earned, to level 30.
  1. 15,400 XP

Add the requirements for levels 21 through 30.

  2. 400 already earned

Subtract the XP currently held toward level 21.

  3. 15,000 XP remaining

Those ten level-ups also award 12 skill points.

Read base growth separately from your equipment

The reference uses the reviewed PC build 25232147 character table. Human health, blood per segment and base damage values change with level. The level-based melee contribution is not the full damage range of an equipped sword.

Equipment, skills, difficulty and temporary effects can alter the numbers you see while playing. Compare the base rows to understand growth, then use the equipment and skill tools for the choices you are making around it.

The same reference lists base stamina at 250, base stamina regeneration at 50 per second and two starting blood segments. Blood per segment and the number of available segments are separate properties; the table is not a promise that a developed character always has two segments.

Choose useful activities on the way to the next level

Quest objectives and combat contribute experience, but there is no universal XP amount for every defeated enemy. Enemy reward types and level differences matter, so the level total cannot be converted into a reliable fixed number of kills.

Use quests, nearby exploration and equipment goals to give the route another purpose. Check the time cost when committing to an activity, and keep the family deadline in view. This calculator measures level requirements; it does not promise a fastest farming route or a fixed number of minutes.

Turn the next level into a skill plan

Having enough level-up points does not by itself unlock a desired rank. Check prerequisite ranks, manuals, discipline investment, Corruption and learning time in Skill Planner.

Character level and Corruption are separate. Reaching level 50 completes the Glass Ceiling level target, while a Vampirism rank can still require a specific Corruption level or its own unlock.
