How to Respec in Dawnwalker

Use a Draught of Mind Rebirth to rebuild your Swordmastery, Witchcraft and Vampirism skills in Update 1.1. Anca, Vera and the Matriarch are among its sellers. The reset panel lets you revise your choices before committing the potion.

Where to buy the Draught of Mind Rebirth

Check the trading inventory of a herbalist or medicine seller. In 1.1, Anca, Vera, the Matriarch and several medic shops can stock the potion. Start with a seller you can already reach; you do not need to travel to the Uriashi village just to find this potion.

A seller’s story and trading conditions still apply, so use another available seller if a quest has moved or removed the one you planned to visit.

AncaAnca’s Hut is a useful starting landmark, but her quests can move her elsewhere. Check her current location before travelling.
VeraVisit her hut near Briar Sloughs and Maragir Wealds by day, when she is in the yard. The Bittersweet Toast can affect her availability.

Check the merchant’s price before buying

The potion’s base buy value is 962 and its base sell value is 157 in PC 1.1, build 25915545. These item values are not a guaranteed final shop quote: trade modifiers and active price rules can change what you pay. Read the price in your own trading screen.

Each seller offers one potion at a time, and several sellers stock it. Before spending campaign time waiting for one shop to restock, check the other medicine sellers.

Open the reset panel and rebuild your skills

Note the ranks you want to keep and the abilities you want to replace before using the draught. Opening the panel resets eligible learned ranks for a full rebuild, so changing just one choice still means restoring the rest of your desired setup. A separate manual save also gives you a fallback after the final confirmation.

  1. Select the Draught of Mind Rebirth in your inventory and use it. Accept the prompt to begin the Abilities and Perks Reset. Opening the panel does not yet consume the potion.
  2. Choose your new ranks across the three skill trees. The reset returns the points and training time spent on the ranks it removes; satisfy the displayed prerequisites as you rebuild.
  3. Spend every returned Time Segment on training. You need a new selection of perks and no remaining Time Segments before the completion control becomes available.
  4. Review the rebuilt trees, choose the control to confirm your changes, then accept the confirmation dialog. This commits the new selection and consumes one draught.

Why the reset will not finish with time left over

The returned Time Segments are a training budget inside the reset panel. They must be spent again on skills; they do not give you extra days for quests or travel on the campaign calendar.

For example, if the panel returns eight Time Segments and your new choices use six, two remain and you cannot finish. Choose additional eligible training or revise the build until the Time Segments balance reaches zero. These numbers illustrate the rule; use the balance shown for your own character.

Plan the ranks that cost time before filling every remaining point with other perks. This helps you avoid a nearly finished build that has no point budget left for the time-costing ranks you still need. If the new setup cannot fit the returned budget, cancel the session and plan again.

Correct a choice or cancel without using the potion

Undo a Level removes a selected rank during the current rebuild. If it is unavailable, check for a learned child ability or an Ultimate that depends on that prerequisite or on the school’s point total. Remove the dependent choice first. Traits marked as unlocked through quests are also protected from this manual undo control.

Reset All clears the selections you have made in the reset panel so you can try a different allocation. It does not restore the setup you had before opening the potion.

To keep your original build, use the back or exit action and confirm that you want to discard the changes. The game restores your previous setup and keeps the draught. Once you have confirmed the new build instead, that bottle has been consumed.

After a completed respec, update Current ranks in the Skill Planner to match the game. Its totals describe future training from those entered ranks; the website does not import the game’s refund balance.
